Sharing the holidays with our community!
Our Holiday Cheer program engages all corners of our community — individuals, businesses, faith-based communities, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, school group and civic organizations who are bonded by the Clark County spirit in support of one another. And there are many ways to help.
Note: Our Holiday Cheer program kicks off in October of each year, so be sure to check back for updates!
Fill a Holiday Food Box. Fill a food box to provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family of 4-6 people. Our goal is to provide a box for 150 households. Click here for a list of needed items: Share Holiday — Cheer Food Boxes
Give the Gift of Choice: Gift Cards. Donating gift cards in amounts of $10 to $25 is a thoughtful and useful gift for our clients. Providing individuals and families with the opportunity to purchase items on their own can relieve personal anxiety and boost self-esteem as they take the lead role in selecting foods to prepare their holiday meal, finding just the right gift to give their child or partner or filling basic household needs.
Adopt-a-Family. Make a difference by purchasing gifts, clothing and household items for families and individuals in our housing programs. It’s simple: you receive a list of gift items requested by each family member, you purchase the items and deliver them to Share. Average cost is between $100 to $125 per adopted family member. - Please do not wrap your gifts. Donors bring in an itemized list that is verified by staff and again by the recipient so that Share can ensure that the correct gifts get to the intended party.
Purchase Gifts from Our Wish List. From shoes to winter coats (all sizes, for men, women & children) to kitchen items and small household appliances to board games and sports equipment—and don’t forget gift cards! Click here for a complete list: Share Holiday Cheer — Wish List
Host a Wish Tag Drive. Wish Tags are great opportunity for community members to ensure that children, parents, women and men in our shelters, housing programs and permanent supportive housing programs holiday gifts. Share will provide hang-able tags with suggested gift items for different age groups. You can display the tags as ornaments on a Christmas tree or menorah in a common space, pin them on a board, or do something new and creative with them to inspire the holiday spirit.
