Shelter Case Manager (Share Homestead)

The Shelter Case Manager facilitates the smooth operation of the shelter and monitors the safety and security of all shelter residents in a supportive and comfortable environment.  Areas of responsibility may include maintaining case management of residents including needs assessments and progress reviews, accurate shelter records, monitoring resident compliance with program guidelines, greeting volunteers and donors, supervising meal preparation, resident house chores, and documenting all activity in the daily log.

The position is 7 am-4 pm Saturday-Tuesday at Share Homestead. Rate of pay is $15 – 17.00 per hour, based on experience. Please submit cover letter and resume to Amy Reynolds at deputydir@sharevancouver.org.

Talkin’ Trash Crew Leader

The Talkin’ Trash Crew Leader is responsible for leading a crew of 3-6 people who are or have been experiencing homelessness in cleaning up trash in the public areas and right of way in the community.  Direction for where to clean will be offered by the City of Vancouver Sanitation Department to the program director.  The crew leader will ensure that all crew members are properly trained in waste disposal, especially around needles and other dangerous materials.  The crew leader will ensure that crew members are properly equipped for safety and the weather.  Staff will provide support and guidance to the crew including coaching and conflict resolution as appropriate.  This position will ensure that a work site is clean when leaving, that crew members are appropriate when engaging with the community, will transport crew to and from locations and report any necessary information to the program director in a timely manner.

Client Support Specialist

The Client Support Specialist will provide support to clientele living in a site based permanent supportive housing program for formally homeless individuals. Client Support Specialists work closely with Housing Case Managers to implement individualized client centered care and play an integral role in supporting clients in maintaining their housing. The role of the Client Support Specialist is to assist participants in achieving independence and self-sufficiency by assisting with life skills development, modeling and coaching prosocial behaviors, and being a dependable and caring support person.

This position is a 40 hour a week position. Requires weekend and evening shift availability. Client Support Specialists are paid $12-14 per hour with generous benefits. Please submit resume and cover letter to housing1stdir@sharevancouver.org

ASPIRE Housing Case Manager

The Housing Case Manager will provide case management to households receiving rental subsidies. The Case Manager will assist all households in move into permanent, transitional or rapid re-housing scattered site models.  In this position you will work with people who have experienced homelessness in families, individuals or couples without kids.  The people we work with have experienced trauma and may also struggle with mental health concerns, physical health concerns, substance abuse, domestic violence, etc. $15-$17 per hour; contact Dee Sanders at aspiredir@sharevancouver.org
